Macy's Bibbity Bobbity Birthday!

When we went to Disneyland, right on the other side of Sleeping Beauty's Castle, they have a salon called "The Bibbity Bobbity Boutique". It is an amazing place where you can pick any Disney Princess and get her dress, shoes, jewelry, wig, purse, sash, etc. and not only dress up like them, but get your hair, nails, and make-up done. Only problem? It's like 300 bucks! So, I decided to use that awesome idea as inspiration for Macy's 4th Birthday Party!!!

Welcome to Princess Macy's Bibbity Bobbity Boutique!
Each girl picked their Princess ahead of time with a brochure invitation I sent each girl. On party day, the girls arrived to find a handmade tutu, necklace, crown, purse and matching flip-flops to go with the color of their Princess. They dressed up and came inside for make-overs!

Magical Make-up!
Pretty Princess Polish

Fabulous Flip-Flop Fashions! Each girl got to pick and stick jewels on their flip-flops for a craft.
We had our lovely friend and hair-stylist Misty come and give each girl a major up-do at The Sparkle and Shine Salon  complete with Sparkle Spray!
Each Princess the girls picked was reflected in the food: Jasmine's Tiger Toasts (grilled cheese with grill marks for stripes), Rapunzel's Paint Brushes ( pretzels dipped in yellow candy melts), Belle's Enchanted Roses ( strawberries cut like roses), Ariel's Guppy Crackers (goldfish!), and Cinderella's Cake!

Here we are at our Princess Tea Party!

Happy Birthday My Sweet Girl! I love you!!

Valentine's Day

I love the Pottery Barn Kids Valentine' Day Envelope for the back of children's chairs, so I decided to make one for Macy! Felt, yarn, and a glue gun!
I also made her a puffy-paint shirt that says " 'Owl' be your Valentine" and heart toast using a cookie cutter to stencil sprinkles =)

Austin and Emily Annual Halloween Party!

This year our Murder Mystery Dinner was Western Themed. The title was "The Good, The Bad, and The Guilty". I didn't want the fact that this was a Halloween party to be lost on the "western-ness," so I tried to incorporate the colors, pumpkins, candy and the like to mix them together. We had such a good time! I love this Halloween tradition more every year!

This is my proudest achievement- I used the "Hello, Cupcake" book for inspiration for the "coal" cupcakes, and kind- of the "hamburgers" (the book has the hamburgers as rice cakes colored with food coloring- I thought coco rice krispie treats would be yummier). The "ribs" are all mine though- they are twinkies covered in candy coating (like cake pops) and then a layer of strawberry jelly mixed with chocolate syrup. They were a little over the top as far as sweet, but I think they look pretty real! I was excited to think of something I haven't seen before.

This is my "Halloween" dinner- Chili in a pumpkin and "Candycorn" Cornbread (the top of the triangle is is white butter and then the cornbread is orange and yellow layers).

Here's everyone in their costumes- all guests were good sports and really dressed up- I think that makes it so much more fun!

"White" Board

My arch-nemesis is The Library. The library is like Blockbuster to me- I pretty much pay a fee any time I check books out. In order to try and lessen the blow to our budget, I made this dry erase board out of an old picture frame, some burlap (LOVE) and my handy-dandy cricut. I have the design studio now and love it that I can make the things on my cartridges as big or small as I would like. I could have never made this "L" before. Oh, and I meant the L to be Lewis, but I guess it's library too. Now, I at least know what book is overdue...

Random Craft

Here is a project that I did for Christmas time but just never posted about. It's an Advent Calender made out of a mini-muffin tin, in case it may be hard to tell =)
